A Revenge Impeachment

Today, news that House Republicans are prepared to move forward with a floor vote to authorize an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden. It’s a vote designed, at least in their eyes, to legitimize the manufactured impeachment effort. As we discussed when MAGA got impeachment fever in September, it’s baseless. It is not grounded in even a scintilla of fact. There is nothing Joe Biden is credibly alleged to have done that qualifies as a high crime and misdemeanor, the constitutional standard for impeaching a president. It is disproven rumor and innuendo, smoke and mirrors.

CASA is a non profit organization which began advocating for abused and or neglected children in 2007. The mission of CASA Corridor is to recruit, train and supervise citizen volunteers to speak out for the best interest of children who are before the juvenile courts of McMinn, Meigs and Rhea Counties. Advocates for CASA get cases moving through the child welfare system and advocate strongly to help ensure each child is in a loving, safe home. CASA volunteers do their own investigation, get to know each child and write reports directly to the judge with recommendations for what is in each child's best interest. CASA has served 5,300 children in its three-county service area and has made a difference in so many young peoples' lives thanks to countless hours of court appearances by advocates and through donations by grants and private funds.
