Judge delays trial over Fox News and 2020 election lies

The Delaware judge overseeing a voting machine company’s $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox News says he is delaying the start of the trial until Tuesday. He did not cite a reason Sunday night. The trial, which had drawn international interest, had been scheduled to start Monday morning with jury selection and opening statements. The case centers on whether Fox defamed Dominion Voting Systems by spreading false claims that the company rigged the 2020 presidential election to prevent former President Donald Trump’s re-election.

Call your Representative (find your Representative here) and ask them to vote AGAINST arming teachers, HB 1202. This bill would introduce more guns into our schools by allowing school boards and local law enforcement to approve teachers and school employees to carry loaded guns while students are present. Parents would not know if their child's teacher was carrying. 

Sample Script. Hi ____ my name is ___ and I am your constituent. I am asking you to vote against HB1202. Arming teachers is not a solution to gun violence in our schools. More guns in schools mean more chances for guns accidentally ending up in the hands of students and guns going off accidentally harming or killing a child.

Local News:

Starr Regional Medical Center (SRMC) recently had an open house and ribbon cutting for their new cardiac catheterization (cath) lab in Athens. SRMC is an accredited Chest Pain Center and has been working diligently to improve the cardiac services offered within the community. The providers and technology within the cardiac cath lab will diagnose and provide treatment for heart blockages and other cardiac conditions without a commute. Starr R e g i o n a l Medical Center will be the only facility within 30 miles of its campuses to offer these services. This will allow more patients the ability to receive this important care closer to home.
