The Friends of Etowah Carnegie Library will hold their monthly book sale on Saturday, October 14th. The book sale is on the first floor of the library and will be open 10am-2pm. The November book sale has been CANCELLED due to a conflict with Veteran's Day. As there is no book sale in December, October's book sale will be the last sale until January of 2024. An annular solar eclipse will pass over the United States on Saturday, October 14th. Etowah Carnegie Library is excited to host an eclipse observation party for all ages from 12pm-2pm! Environmental Educator & Naturalist Jean Johnston will be teaching about solar system science with an educational story time and activity. The library will be handing out eclipse glasses and solar system-themed snacks to all program participants. This event is FREE and no registration is required!

Etowah Senior Center has a few appointments left for Medicare Open Enrollment Counseling on October 27th and November 15th. The counseling will be offered through SHIP, or State Health Insurance Assistance Program. Medicare Open Enrollment is a window that takes place each fall during which enrollees can reevaluate their existing Medicare coverage and make changes if they wish.
