My Take:

I read about the deployment of National Guard to California over the rioting there and I can’t help but think about how fast Trump responded to this misbehavior compared to the January 6th rioting in his own back yard.

Some suspect this calling out of the Guard is a trial run for invoking the Insurrection act in the future especially when it gets close to the mid terms to be able to control the voting at that time. We will never know for sure, but the over reaction with the Guard really looks suspicious.
