In Tennessee, far-right groups flex newfound muscle – Tennessee Lookout

In 2022, newly-formed groups like Tennessee Stands and Moms for Liberty began to back candidates for local offices in Tennessee.

The Good Faith Clinic at 18 Congress Parkway South, will be open August 8th at 3 p.m. for refills and at 3:30 p.m. for doctor visits. The GFC is for residents of McMinn and Meigs Counties that are under the age of 65 and have no health insurance.

Etowah Senior Center is offering another basic computer skills class. The classes will be from August 21-24 from 11:30 until 2:30 and August 25 from 9:00 until 12:00. Laptops will be provided. If you attend all 15 hours of instruction, you will keep the laptop and will receive free internet access for a certain period of time. Very few spots are left. My Thoughts:

I went to go see “Barbie” with some friends yesterday and was impressed with the rants included in the movie about “male patriarchy” and its effect on women. The political statements were interspersed with dance scenes and silly content as well. I liked it, not sure all my friends liked it…
