We had a meeting with our city commissioners to decide how to spend over a million dollars from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) I was wondering how much Republicans supported this:
The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 was a federal bill passed by the 117th Congress and signed into law by President Joe Biden (D) on March 11, 2021, to provide economic relief in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The bill was passed through the budget reconciliation process, which provides a procedural path around the supermajority requirement in the Senate. It was created by the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 to facilitate a quicker process for reviewing and passing certain bills related to spending, revenues, and debt. This process was not subject to the filibuster and only requires a simple majority vote.
No Republican House or Senate member supported the bill.

We cleaned up the road alongside Walmart in Athens this morning. We started early before some people arrived so the stragglers were not in the picture. Thanks to David Thomforde, Jeff Dearmin, Melissa Kelly, for your help and support. Pictured are Kathy Nagel, DiAnn and Chuck Leman, and myself. The road was not as long as Mecca Pike and we made short work of it.
