Texas attorney general Ken Paxton responded this evening to the federal government’s demand that state troops give U.S. Border Patrol agents access to Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas, the site where three migrants died last week as they tried to cross the Rio Grande.

Due to inclement weather and road conditions, the City of Athens announces the closure of Public Works, Animal Shelter, and Recycling Center for Thursday, January 18, 2024. Crossville – 8:30 AM CST. MEDIC will also have a mobile drive at the Home Depot in Clinton from 11 am to 5 pm and the Food City in Dandridge from 11 am to 5 pm.

Etowah Carnegie Library's next digital literacy class will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd at 6pm. This class will provide an introduction to Microsoft Word. Imagine if they’d been as brave as she is as disclosures about his character were made when he was running in 2016, when he began separating babies from their mothers at the border during his first year in office, or when we learned he’d withheld security aid from Ukraine to try to get a fake story to use against his political opponent, Joe Biden. If E. Jean Carroll had been a Republican Senator on January 6, she would have rallied her colleagues to call an insurrection an insurrection, expel the man who fomented it, and ensure he could never hold government office again.
