• Helping Hands Ministry of McMinn County is in need of volunteers who are prepared to donate at least two days per month (usually for no more than 5 hours in any day) to carry on their community assistance efforts. They perform emergency home repairs for low-income families. The organization is looking for volunteers with carpentry, plumbing, or electrical skills. To volunteer, contact Helping Hands at (423) 920-4179 or [email protected].

• The Good Faith Clinic scheduled for Tuesday, September 10 (today) will be a refill only clinic with patients reporting directly to the clinic rather than the church triage area. Appointments can be made for Physician visits for Tuesday September 17 beginning at 2:30. Appointments will only be made through the GFC Facebook page or at the September 10 refill clinic. The clinic will return to regular schedule beginning September 24.

• The Etowah Library Board will meet at 5pm on Monday, September 16 at the library. This meeting is open to the public. The Friends of Etowah Carnegie Library will meet on Tuesday, September 17 at 5:30 pm at the library. This meeting is open to the public. The Etowah Area Senior Center is having a Flu and COVID Vaccine Clinic on Monday, September 16th from 11:00 until 12:30. The vaccines are free with almost all insurance.
