In honor of Black History Month, E.G. Fisher Public Library will host Everett Gillespie on February 13 as he discusses the book Our Secret Society by Tanisha Ford. The event will be held in the Varnadow Community Room at noon. A light lunch will be provided.

The Good Faith Clinic will be open Tuesday, February 13 and February 27 at 3 p.m. for refills and at 3:30 p.m. for doctor visits. The Good Faith Clinic is free primary health care for residents of McMinn and Meigs counties, aged 18-64, who do not have any form of medical insurance, including TennCare. The clinic meets on the campus of Christ Community Church at 18 S Congress Parkway in Athens. REMINDER: The Good Faith Clinic is open the 2nd, 4th, and 5th, Tuesday of each month.

The first 2024 Etowah Friendly Garden Club Meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 13 at 7 p.m. at the Etowah Community Center located at 155 Robinson Street. Members will be discussing the Annual Plant Sale that will be coming up on Saturday, May 11 at the L&N Depot in the heart of downtown Etowah. The February meeting of the Etowah Friendly Garden Club will also feature a Guest Speaker. Master Gardener Faith Stooksbury will be discussing Spring Preparation for the upcoming growing season. The Etowah Friendly Garden Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month at the Etowah Community Center.
