Historic downtown Athens, Tennessee and Friendly City Festivals are busy preparing for one of East Tennessee’s favorite fall festivals – Pumpkintown: A Festival of History, Harvest and Heritage on Saturday, October 12th .Scheduled from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., this will be the 21 st annual festival celebrating the rich cultural history of East Tennessee by highlighting Native American culture, local history and displaying elements of times past that are unique and interesting for all ages. Pumpkintown is among the area’s premier fall festivals and is one of the largest annually attended events in McMinn County will over 22,000 in attendance. The day-long celebration brings to life the rich cultural history and heritage of the county and is named for a former McMinn County settlement.

3rd Annual Run To The Table 5K Color Run (and 1 mile loop)

September is Hunger Action Month and Table Graces is joining Feeding America to celebrate and raise awareness of the food insecurity in our own community. Food insecurity, especially among children, in McMinn and surrounding counties is nearly 20%. Table Graces provides food for over 200 families every week. Help us fight hunger! 

September 21st, 2024, check in begins at 8am with the race beginning at 8:30am

Race begins and ends at Market Pavilion in downtown Athens (106 S Jackson St)

Adult Runner Registration is $50 and students/children are $25

(One adult runner registration will feed a family of 4 for 6 weeks!)
