TONIGHT the 2023 Sounds of Summer series presented by Friendly City Festivals features “Kinslee Melhorn.” She will be performing tonight at Market Pavilion in downtown Athens, starting at 7:00 p.m. It’s free. Bring your lawn chair & blankets.

The Etowah 4th of July Celebration begins at 7:30 a.m. with the Boy Scout Troop 74 pancake breakfast. There will be lots of activities throughout the day. The Kids Zone will be at the Walking Trail from 11 to 7. Some of the morning activities include the 5K road race, beauty pageant, and the corn hole tournament at the Walking Trail. In the afternoon there will be music by Julia Keeton, Josh Gilbert Band, the Etowah Town Band, Izzy Weeks, and a watermelon eating contest at the Kids Zone. There will be many activities throughout the day and fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m. WCPH Radio AM-1220 & FM95.5 in Etowah will have on air broadcasting.
