This weekend we found a message in our inbox that included a link to a thread by a redditor named "JoeyBagOWaffles" which included some images that appeared to be of Governor Bill Lee's 1977 Franklin High School yearbook in which he was DRESSED IN DRAG — right as he’s set to sign the #DragShowFelonyBill.

Local News:

Note: This is where the re-election for Democratic Party representatives in the 5 districts of McMinn County will be held on March 25th.

The McMinn Senior Activity Center will hold a grand reopening ribbon cutting on Thursday, March 9th

from 1:30-3pm and a

Grand Reopening Celebration on Friday, March 10th

from 5-7pm

followed by a Friday Night Dance from 7-9pm which will be free

that night. The Center is located at 205 McMinn Avenue; Athens.

The Center unexpectedly closed its doors on December 26th due

to a burst water line and extensive water damage throughout the

building. “While the initial damage looked to be a setback, it has

allowed for some great new changes to the facility. We are

so excited to be able to open the doors again after being closed for

just over two months despite the extensive restoration project that

has allowed the Center staff and board of directors to improve the

facility. We invite everyone in the community to celebrate our

Homecoming with us,” said Diane Hutsell, Executive Director of

the McMinn Senior Activity Center. The Center will resume all

normal, and some new, programs beginning Monday, March 13

when doors open at 8:30am. For more information, contact the

Senior Center at 423-745-6830 or tap or click HERE
