The McMinn County Election Commission will hold a called meeting on Thursday, January 4th at 4:30 pm to set up each party’s new ballot box keys, locks, and lock boxes. Also, Election Commissioners will be locking provisional ballot bags, appointing election officials, setting the election calendar and conducting any election business to come before the board.

The McMinn County Historical Society and Archives will meet Sunday, January 7 at 2 p.m. in the basement, in the blue room at the McMinn County Courthouse. The presentation will be by Linda Caldwell on the “Etowah Depot, reflecting 117 years of change.”
